Read this article from the AP (via msnbc) - April 18, 2008

This is another example of a violation of basic human rights. Tive is held captive by China and has been for centuries. The passing ot eh torch has created an opportunity for the Tibetan people to protest in a very public way. It has allowed us to become aware of their plight.

These are very critical issues and the Chinese must be held accountable. Again, what started out as peaceful has turned violent, because of lack of security another promise not kept.

For more information listen to this NPR story titled Monks' Protest Rejects Chinese Rule in Tibet.
